The Toguri Museum is dedicated to preserving the ceramics collection of its founder Tohru Toguri, and with the aim of making it known to as large an audience as possible, opened its doors to the public in its Shibuya premises on November 21st, 1987. The collection principally contains Imari and Nabeshima pottery, as well as pottery from China and Korea, and with nearly 7000 pieces in its possession, the museum operates as a specialist in this field.

The museum is celebrating its 20th anniversary by putting on display the most important works from its collection. As the second part of this series of commemorative exhibitions, this show displays masterpieces of Chinese and Korean ceramics.
