Suzan Philipz, born in Glasgow and currently living in Berlin and Belfast, creates sound installations using her voice. She was featured in Sculpture Project Munster 07, and has been showing internationally.
She investigates the relationship between sound and space, especially pop music and its psychological effect on listeners. Speakers are located in the space so as to stimulate people's awareness of the space and situations within it.
For this exhibition, she installs her recorded singing voice in a dim gallery space. The exhibition brings unexpected surprises for those who are used to visual experiences of art.
