A new type of design exhibition combining web service and international designers' works in "real space" will be hosted by BCCKS Inc. and designer group Tokyo Type Directors Club (TDC) to commemorate TDC's 20th anniversary. This event utilizes the "BCCKS" web service mechanism through which anyone can create an online "book." The service is scheduled to start this winter.
For the "TDC BCCKS" exhibition, 33 international and Japanese designers' new books will be featured online and in bookstores. In addition, postcards designed by 77 TDC members taking TDC's first year, 1987 as a theme will be publicized online. These postcards will be available for view and purchase at 600 AD CARD stores around the country including (but not limited to) Aoyama Book Center Roppongi, Tsutaya Tokyo Roppongi, Ginza Graphic Gallery, Souvenir from Tokyo (The National Art Center, Tokyo).
A talk show featuring Katsunori Aoki, Gento Matsumoto and other surprise guests will take place on November 24th, 13:00-15:00. Please call the venue (03-5485-5511) to make reservations. Payment of ￥700 is payable the day of the event.
