"Science News! Asia -The Power of Asia, The Power of Science" Exhibition
This event has ended.
Asia is the largest region in the world, has the widest variety of climate zones and is home to a multitude of organisms and species. The existence of these species is the source of continuation for the earth's environmental balance, and also has immense potential as a resource in our daily lives. However, modern economic and industrial development has led to serious environmental problems such as air and water pollution and soil degradation.
This exhibition comprises 3 zones. The first zone is a plaza where viewers can obtain information about 10 Asian countries. On the weekends and during school summer vacation periods, many workshops and events will be held, with the help of the National Tourist Bureaus of Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea and the Thai Embassy. In Zone 2, research and scientific techniques based on each country’s traditions and customs will be introduced as "Science News", divided into 7 themes. In Zone 3 there will be a game in which viewers can simulate life in the future based on a particular Asian country's pattern of daily life. International efforts in promoting Asian environmental protection and economic development will also be introduced.
This exhibition will look at cutting-edge scientific technology from the new viewpoint of Asia's power in the scientific fields.
