The overall theme of Rika Noguchi's photography is human identity and the surroundings that one is situated in. Her photographs are not staged; she simply explores what she comes across. Noguchi's photographs are consistently mysterious, hinting at memories hidden in one's mind.

This is her first solo exhibition since her solo show at the Hara Museum in 2004. This exhibition features Noguchi's photographs taken since 2005 centered around the "Marabu" series that she created in Berlin.
