"Meet the Artist: Eva Teppe Slide Lecture" Talk Event
This event has ended.
Hara Museum presents a slide lecture by Eva Teppe, one of the artists to be featured in "Art Scope 2007/2008" in the summer of 2008.
Since 2003, the Hara Museum has collaborated with Daimler Chrysler Foundation in Japan in its Art Scope contemporary art exchange program for Japanese and German artists. As a part of this program, the young female artist Eva Teppe was brought to Tokyo for three months to work and live as an artist in residence. For her slide lecture, Teppe will talk about her experience.
Born in 1973, Teppe is a cutting-edge artist who studied at the State University of Design, Media and Arts Karlsruhe, known as a mecca for the media arts. Though she has exhibited in Europe and the U.S., this will be her first time in Japan. Her video installations, consisting of single or multiple images, use a fascinating approach to explore the awareness of time.
A total of four artists are scheduled to exhibit work in Art Scope 2007/2008, including Eva Teppe, Ascan Pinckernelle (to arrive in Japan in February 2008), Yuken Teruya and Izumi Kato.
