Jonas Mekas
This exhibition presents the work of Lithuanian poet and video artist Jonas Mekas (born 1922), taking his representative series of 16mm film works and printing images from them onto photographic paper as a photo series entitled "Frozen Film Frames".

The people and sceneries that appear in Mekas' work are highly intriguing, presenting before us a powerful but lonely world of threatening history and refugees who have trod all kinds of paths in their lives. A talk session with the artist has been planned for this exhibition. Details will appear on the gallery website as they become available (Japanese only).
