This artist's works bring peace to the viewer. His technique involves embossing paper onto corroded metal plates and carefully coloring each sheet with pastels. The resulting texture is similar to washi paper giving off the bright color of the fine pastel. His minimal forms have received high acclaim internationally as a major Japanese artist.
