"Kingdom of Artists" introduces young artists related to Gunma Prefecture. For the third exhibition in the series, two artists with completely different styles will be introduced.

Koji Arai studied Japanese paintings, metal work, copper engraving, pottery, and lithographs at a specialist college after graduating from university. The people and animals that appear in his works have an air of nostalgia that is reminiscent of the Showa Era. Arai has actively submitted to art competitions, meeting with success with the Setsuryosha Florence Award and Ueno Royal Museum Award.

Akira Mizuno paints still objects around him in the realist style. He studied anatomy under Pedro Martinez Sierra in Madrid for two years at Complutense University. Recent accomplishments include being invited to the Showa-kai Invitational Exhibition and Modern Paintings Exhibition in Nagoya.
