The Vehicle
Art unit The Vehicle is constantly creating mechanisms to tie together the real world and the visual world transmitted by film media. In this exhibition, an installation of mirrors titled "That's the store of him / her life" from the "A LDK" series that has been in development since 2005 will be on display. This piece consists of a mirror the size of a film screen, and phrases not specific to a single movie are printed on it in a font commonly used for subtitles. The background and image of oneself reflected in the mirror combined with the subtitles evokes a cinematic feeling, as if the viewer has stepped into the film that depicts one scene from daily life.
