Ana Mercedes Hoyos
The artist who started making abstract paintings was influenced by 1960s American pop artists Keith Haring, Jasper Jones, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, and moved her studio to New York in the late 1970s. There she started creating her own unique pop art taking new African culture and Afro-Columbia culture (Palenque) as a research topic. 13 new prints made in Europe will be on display.
