Yoko Ono "Fly"

Artists

Yoko Ono
This work has been exhibited in various locations since it was first shown at the Musée d'art moderne de la Ville de Paris. It is a video installation of Ono's 1970 groundbreaking film "Fly," and involves several monitors in a dark room screening footage at staggered timing. The time misalignment allows what has already been seen and what is to be seen to appear simultaneously, creating a space where one can experience seeing the past and future in one moment. The sound for each film is also set at the same volume, and a new sound experience is created out of the installation effect. Ono's conceptual publication "Museum of Modern F art" (1971) will also be on display in another room.
