Paris, the city of art, has attracted many artists from around the world since the end of the 19th century to today. For example, painters such as Picasso (Spain), Chagall (Russia), Modigliani (Italy) and Leonard Foujita (Japan) portrayed people living in Paris, while sculptors such as Brancusi (Romania) and Giacometti (Switzerland), as well as photographers such as Brassai (Hungary) and William Klein (America) developed their talent in Paris.

This exhibition features 200 works by famous modern artists from the Pompidou Center's collection, as well as contemporary artists from China, South America and Africa. It aims to present the achievements that Paris and the foreign artists who lived there have accomplished, and how they have contributed to modern and contemporary art. Amazing artworks created in Paris will be shown at a new museum in the international city of Tokyo.
