Artists

Keiichi Yabuno
Keiichi Yabuno's newest work is an abstract that uses metal bits and wooden panels to the motif of plants.

Yabuno (born 1941) was accepted at the Nikkaten Exhibition for the first time at 18, but abandoned his career as an artist to take care of the family business. In 1990, he won the Yasui Exhibition Award and decided to dedicate himself to art. He held a solo exhibition in Tokyo, and went on to produce works in Arizona, Mexico, Guatemala, and New York. Because Yabuno believes that he doesn't need any more information than necessary in this modern age where information is over flooding, he doesn't read the newspaper or watch TV. At the age of 50, he has had a new start, and his works are filled with energy.
