Pipilotti Rist
This autumn the Hara Museum is pleased to present "Karakara," a solo exhibition by the Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist, a leading figure in Europe's contemporary art scene. This is surprisingly the artist's first solo exhibition to be held at a Japanese museum. Ten representative works will be on view, including "Das Zimmer" (The Room) (1994/2000), a large-scale installation that she created early in her career; the much-talked about work at the Venice Biennale, "Ever is Over All" (1997); and the more recent work "À la belle étoile" (Under the Sky) (2007).
