Youmei Bunko 70th Anniversary Exhibition: "Courtly Millenium - Art Treasures from the Konoe Family Collection"

Youmei Bunko was established by then prime minister Fumimaro Konoe in 1938, and is a collection of the Konoe Family valuable documents, texts and treasures. Commemorating the 70th anniversary of its establishment, the entire collection will be on display in this exhibition. The entire collection comprises almost 200,000 works including the following:
-Michinaga Fujiwara diaries in his own handwriting "Midou Kanpakuki" (National Treasure)
-Collection of major writings "Ohtekagami" (National Treasure)
-Works presented to the imperial family
-Works by Iehiro Konoe, the mid-Edo period head of the Konoe family who was an expert on court culture and well acquainted with calligraphy, tea ceremony, floral arts and incense burning.
