Yayoi Kusama + Shusaku Arakawa + Ushio Shinohara Exhibition

Chiba City Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Yayoi Kusama, Shusaku Arakawa, Ushio Shinohara
From the late 1950s to 1960s, many young Japanese artists crossed the sea to America. Not satisfied with the closed art scene in Japan, they searched for new opportunities in the center of contemporary art, New York.

This exhibition focuses on three artists who were based in New York at one point: Yayoi Kusama, Shusaku Arakawa, and Ushio Shinohara. They will each have a room for their works, making this a gathering of solo exhibitions.
