The Japanese dance scene is becoming more popular and diverse. A wide range of interdisciplinary performance with an edge, as well as nerdiness, and kimo-kawaii (creepy but cute) has evolved in this unique culture. Transcending various genres such as art, music, theater, and much more, something new has already emerged.
In "Harajuku Performance +(Plus),"10 performers selected from contemporary dance, street dance, music, theater, contemporary art, comedy and so on, will be introduced one after another on stage. "Body Expression with Groove" is the theme of this event featuring emerging artists as well as those who are already popular in their field. In conjunction with the performance event, a special installation by up-and-coming art group, Chim Pom is on view.
