Takashi Ishida, Mami Kosemura, Rentaro Taki
Video art often takes on a different perspective and approach from theater or TV settings when it's installed at a museum or gallery.

Inviting two emerging artists, this talk event focuses on the significance and future of video art. Takashi Isida creates works by animating organic line drawings frame by frame. He takes his video work to a higher level by creating an installation or incorporating a performance aspect.

After studying painting, Mami Kohase started making video works by interpreting the iconography and composition from her paintings into a video format. Recently she has created video works incorporating photographic images to construct idealistic landscapes.

Video artist and professor at Waseda University, Kentaro Taki is the moderator of this discussion, and will introduce these two artists' works.

Works by all three artists are on view in a space next to the lecture hall, Ono Azusa Kinen Kodo.
