"Rokuro Taniuchi Shukan Shincho Cover Art Exhibition 1967"

Yokosuka Museum of Art
Finished
This exhibition features all the cover illustrations by Rokuro Taniuchi for Shukan Shincho magazine from the museum's collection.
On display are illustrations from the magazine published in 1967. He used various methods and materials such as dyed paper and sand for the original pieces. The exhibition also introduces his short essays, "Hyoshi no Kotoba," that Taniuchi wrote to accompany each cover. The ideas and daydreams that animated the illustrations, as well as Taniuchi's thoughts on various other topics, are condensed in these little epigrams.
