Kei Funakoshi et al.
With the aim of fostering new artists who will make the future of the Japanese art world, the Agency for Cultural Affairs has been organizing the Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artists since 1967. This program sends young artists abroad and provides them with the opportunity to be trained in their respective specialties.

Having served as the platform for the announcement of the results of the aforementioned program, "Domani: The Art of Tomorrow 2008" will be held this year at the National Art Center, Tokyo for the first time. Centering on the work of trainees sent overseas in recent years, this exhibition showcases works by 15 promising artists.
