The Asian Digital Art Prize is an international competition held annually in Fukuoka prefecture with the purpose of providing knowledge and disseminating digital art and design from Asia to the world. Each year, over 1000 works are submitted from numerous countries and regions for the competition. Fukuoka is a city that strives to become a base for the development of Asian digital art and communication, and with its support this project continues to grow, discovering new talents and deepening cooperation and collaboration among them.
Having won much acclaim last year at the Asian Digital Art Prize Tokyo Exhibition, this year's edition will be held at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub.
This is a great opportunity for viewers to encounter works which fuse logical human constructs (algorithms) based on media technology with a rich artistic sensibility.
Held concurrently with the exhibition is the Kyushu University Advanced Digital Content Design Unit (ADCDU) Exhibition. ADCDU was founded with the aim of fostering new digital content creators whose talents will flourish internationally.
