"Seven years ago, I began exhibiting photographs of cool guys around me. At the show, an old couple came to see my work. They were just walking by the space and stopped by. They spent good amount of time looking at my work, so I talked to them a little. During the conversation, this thought of an isolated life without a partner when you get old came upon me. I thought maybe pictures with action rather than still images would comfort such isolated feel at large. Pictures with actions, for me, are a consecutive series of still images.
"It is also my intention of avoiding a specific moment. This can also be called an undefined moment. I divided the image of a body into different parts in order to show them on TV monitors for a separate piece. In the end, I created an ambiguous identity consisting of multiple people. In this exhibition, I present original images of the piece. They are photographs taken with a 35mm camera. Ever since I began this series, I've been focusing on these "unspecified moments", but on the other hand I felt slightly guilty of putting off something without resolving it. In this exhibition, I want to take a chance to tackle with such a feeling. I am not sure how this will turn out, but I will find out after I do it.
