Artists

Emi Anrakuji
This award-winning artist studied oil painting at Musashino Art University, then started producing copperplate prints in 1993 and photographs in 1998 after battling an illness for 10 years. Her works incorporate her own memories to metaphoric expressions of fundamental human desires and questions about life and create a magical humorous world. The new works on display in this exhibition are color photographs. The collection is a direct and tactile expression of the artist's impulses and emotions, centering on a strong obsession towards life itself.
