"Umbrella Weather" Exhibition

Guardian Garden
Finished
Recruit's two galleries, Creation Gallery G8 and Guardian Garden, are holding their regular annual end-of-year charity exhibition starting November 25th (Tue). This charity exhibition has brought the enjoyment of art and design to a wide variety of people in the past 18 years: through collaborations and exchanges with many creators, both young and established international artists and works made by volunteers. The proceeds from the sale of works are donated to UNICEF Japan. This series of charity exhibitions found nowhere else has since established a solid reputation and proved immensely popular.

The theme for this 18th edition of the charity exhibition is plastic umbrellas. These umbrellas are often thought of as being disposable, but well-designed ones have recently been making an appearance on the market, bought and used by more and more people who choose it as their favorite umbrella. 266 creators have been invited to design plastic umbrellas that inspire long product lives and extended use, contrary to the typically disposable throwaway fate of these objects. Here is a large selection of umbrellas whose designs are tailored specifically to deal with the rain, or make clever use of the octagonal form of the umbrella.
Original plastic umbrellas are made to order, and the proceeds from sales will be donated to UNICEF Japan.
