"Do More with Less - 40 Years of North Face" Exhibition

Spiral
Finished
Commemorating the 40th anniversary of North Face, this exhibition, "Do More with Less" will be held at Spiral Garden.
In the late 1960s, while America was caught in the morass of the Vietnam War, a huge reactionary counter-cultural movement evolved, and its spirited youngsters sought to return to nature in an effort to reassess the existing value system. This was the backdrop against which North Face was born in San Francisco, in 1968.
North Face produced sleeping bags, tents and backpacks, and in the early 70s, the company met Buckminster Fuller, the so-called Da Vinci of the 20th century. They invented a dome-shaped tent incorporating geodesic and tensegrity theory, both of which Fuller studied. The design science gleaned from the opportunity is still at the heart of the brand concept.
This exhibition introduces audiences to 40 years in the evolution of North Face, showcasing archived products and artworks.
