This exhibition by Miran Fukuda entitled "Lake Shore" is part of a program of events related to the "Original Whereabouts - For the Creation of an Archive of Cultural Heritage" exhibition held by the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties, Tokyo (December 6-8, 2008).

Contemporary artist Miran Fukuda creates work using a variety of ancient and modern, Eastern and Western artworks as a source of materials, and is known for this sense of profound "originality." This exhibition features Fukuda's reconfigurations of Kiyoteru Kuroda's classic work "Lake Shore. Fukuda turns this work on its head, suggesting a renewed and fresh reading of the painting.
