Barcelona-based artist Jaume Amigo captures and calls to mind a certain vague sentiment that contemporary Japan seems to have forgotten about and left behind. At times spare and ascetic, other times swaggering and energetic, Amigo's works possess a sensibility that seems doubly necessary at a time when most are engaged only in the pursuit of refinement and functionality.
