Maurits Cornelis Escher
The wizard of printmaking, Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972), was born in Holland. His trompe l'oeil works captured the hearts of the public, and his work is now prominently featured in art textbooks.
At this exhibition, a total of 144 works, including 114 prints, from the Nagasaki Huis Ten Bosch Museum collection will be on display, spanning Escher's early phases to his late period.
