Skip City International D-Cinema Festival 2008 is a unique film festival which focuses on the screenings of digitally shot and produced films. In its competition category, selected 12 full-length films and 12 short films among a total of 993 films gathered from 75 countries and regions will be screened.
As shooting and screening style of the next generation, digital cinema is experiencing surging popularity. In this festival, all films will be screened with high-definition 4k digital cinema projector. Invitation screening this time is "non-film digital screening contents" in which kabuki and musical stages shot with high-end cameras are digitally screened. There will also be free talk events targeted especially to new video creators aspiring to make commercial films in near future. Please enjoy this 9-day-long festival as immersing yourself in the next-generation film production style "digital cinema".
