Akio Kurokawa Exhibition
This event has ended.
At San-Ai Gallery
Media: Crafts
Showcasing work by Akio Kurokawa, an Edo kiriko craftsman based in Tokyo. Edo kiriko is a traditional Japanese craft whose blue or red glass surface is exquisitely cut to create intricate patterns. Kurokawa's work is known for the depth of each cut in the glass. Working with a surface that was initially rough, Kurokawa makes delicate patterns emerge from his chosen material. Using both unconventional motifs and more traditional ones, Kurokawa's creative oeuvre continues to captivate fans of his work.
