This solo exhibition of Takenobu Kobayashi consists of 11 paintings and 5 drawings, all depicting changing light through day and night. "River Bank" shows a river bank in the morning sunlight, while "Electric Torch" depicts a dim light held by a shadowy figure standing in a dark forest. "Root" portrays a boy sitting back on a tree in sunlight. While these works reveal many different characters of light captured in various conditions and times of the day, they also deal with existing theme of "light" in figurative painting. This is a great opportunity for viewers to witness the culmination of the artist's career.
