Artists

Philippe Ramette
Philippe Ramette was born in 1961. He lives and works in Paris.

Since the early 1990s, Ramette has been creating objects whose function is defined in their title: "Portable Individual Point of View," "Love at First Sight Armchair," "Word Cannon," and so on. Whether the object is an armchair, an artificial limb or a gallows, these instruments from another time transcend the limits of our ability to contemplate them. As Ramette says, "in general, it it not the object that is important, but rather the idea of a possible future use, and more specifically what that use will require in terms of a shift in mentality."

DJ party at the Brasserie with Ramette on January 10th from 19:30-midnight, with DJ Cyril Coppini & DJ Raymonds.
