K+Me is a creative unit comprising Kaoru Sato from Japan, who graduated from the London College of Communication in the UK, and Jeremy Sanson from France, who graduated from the College of Visual Communication in France.
They started to collaborate for work in 2005 while in London. After mounting their first exhibition, they moved to Tokyo at the end of 2006 and started working together more closely. Their specialty is collage illustration and moving images, aiming to "make it organic". They incorporate real materials and textures in order to create a handmade, natural feeling in their work.
This show features "A weirdos project" by K+Me, featuring a series of various weird characters made from collage, recycling similar, commonplace images in order to make original and unique figures with their own personality. The exhibition introduces 15 weirdos in frame, as well as an animation where each character interacts with each other and evolves in their own weird world.
