As a genre of illustration in contemporary art, girls illustration has enjoyed a secret boom among girls. You often see these cute girl figures on so-called 'girly' items, like packages of cosmetics and on the illustrated pages of magazines.

Where is the place for the true message of art to exist in this particular mode of expression? How far can the artists of this genre go in their attempt to attract their target audience?

Showcasing girls illustrations by various artists, this open-call exhibition aims to introduce the original aspects of each versatile artist as well as the allure of girls as subject matter. In addition, the best artist will be given the chance to present her work at the next installment of the exhibition in 2009!
