Norio Kamiya Exhibition

Artists

Norio Kamiya
The roundedness of Kamiya's ceramic work communicates the warmth and richness inherent to his workmanship. On top of the white underglaze are flowers rendered in copper and iron enamel. Such vases by Kamiya reflect his world view, largely influenced by the beauty found in nature.
This exhibition showcases Kamiya's works created in the past two years. Since turning 60 he feels that he has now reached the point where he should look back on what he has achieved and continue his artistic explorations in order to reach the next level. Even more than ever before, he has been focusing on the use of iron and copper for coloring ceramic. This exhibition presents around 80 ceramic containers.
