Osamu Ishiyama "12 Architectural Visions"

Setagaya Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Osamu Ishiyama
Osamu Ishiyama (1944 - ) has explored new ways of constructing buildings: making a house out of a giant steel pipe, importing materials directly from overseas, adopting diverse techniques including traditional plastering and steelworking methods used in a shipyard, and raising funds while building a structure a little at a time. This is his first solo exhibition in an art museum. Ishiyama's work is presented with a focus on 12 projects currently being carried out in Japan and other countries. You may see architecture that is different from anything you have ever seen before and get a glimpse of life in the future.
