Daisuke Samejima
Daisuke Samejima, an artist born in 1979, has won several awards for his work, beginning with the grand prize at the open call Wonder Wall exhibition in 2002. He is known in particular for his Flat Ball series of landscapes drawn onto spheres. Samejima's landscapes take as their motif the suburban and newly-developed residential zones of the city, ones that everyone knows but pays scant attention to. Collectively, these landscapes make us reflect on and rediscover the "landscapes of this era". This exhibition presents a new series of landscapes drawn on picture frames.
