"Art Space Tokyo" Release Party

Pink Cow
Finished
"Art Space Tokyo: An Intimate Guide to the Tokyo Art World" is now available!

Join Chin Music Press as it celebrates the release of this first-of-a-kind literary object! Stunningly illustrated by Nobumasa Takahashi, "Art Space Tokyo" introduces readers to twelve of the city's most distinctive art spaces. Through interviews with each of these spaces' directors and curators, as well as interviews with other figures in the Tokyo art world, the book delves into the thinking behind the white walls of exhibition spaces.

"Art Space Tokyo" features interviews with Toshio Hara, Atsuko Koyanagi, Masato Nakamura, Masami Shiraishi, Fumio Nanjo, Etsuko Watari and many more. Also included are essays by Fumihiko Sumitomo (Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo), Roger McDonald (AIT), Tetsuya Ozaki (ART iT), and Roland Kelts (Japanamerica).

Come and enjoy the party! There will be drinks, food, and some kind of visual thing on the projector! The DJ line up features Hiroshi Egaitsu (One Hand Clappin/Impossible), PMKFA (Aluminium 2 Platinum/Impossible) and DJ Countach.

This will be one of the only chances to pick this book up before its 'official' September release. Join us on this fine Tuesday evening and engage in the always delicious hobnobbing of the Tokyo literary and artistic kind.

For more details about the book, please visit the "Art Space Tokyo" homepage here.
