Art Gene Debrief Session

Bank Art 1929 Yokohama
Finished
Having been invited by Art Gene, an art council in Barrow-In-Furness, England, members of Mikan-gumi stayed there in turn from November 1st 2007 to March 5th 2008. Barrow is located in south of the Lake District and is a seaside town for the atomic submarine base. Streets are filled with terrace houses from the 18th century, giving the area its local color. Having come up with an idea of revitalizing the town by utilizing these terrace houses as medium of their artistic activities, Mikan-gumi members decided to collaborate with architects to realize this project. In this event, the members will talk about what they felt during their stay in the town, while also reporting their future activities for the project that has just begun. (Capacity: 100 people (reservation required))
