Taro Izumi
While conscious of the bodily aspects of his work, Taro Izumi creates performances that contain dizzying moments when his behaviors and actions go beyond our expectations. He documents his performances and exhibits them as video works.

Izumi's short movies often prompt laughter. They have a certain silliness similar to that of B movies. They are pertinacious, and at the same time cruel. When our laughter reaches a point where it becomes nonsensical and convulsive, the artist's critical intention comes into play.

Izumi is considered to be one of the most promising new video artists to watch out for. "A Hole Instead of a Mountain" presents his most recent video work, and a performance event will also be held on the first floor of NADiff. His works are also on display at Magic Room?? located on the 4th floor of the NADiff building.
