Artists

Katsuhito Yamamoto
The artist, Katsuhito Yamamoto, came up with the exhibition title "Planetize Me," metaphorically projecting the image of universe, consistently evolving, developing its own rules and producing life forms, onto his own creative energy.
In Yamamoto's first solo exhibition, "Inner Layer Show", he presented paper cutouts reflecting on his everyday events, feelings, and ideas. Drawn with colored pencils in a sculptural manner, the works were installed on the walls and on panels. In the process of making these works, he realized that the pile of cutouts was similar to a view of the world from the sky above. Comparing this to the biblical explanation of the world creation, he says his work is an universe of its own.
In this exhibition, Yamamoto presents his circular panel works for the first time, provoking the relationships found in the beginning of the universe and the environment, and ultimately the root of his own identity and its relationship with the world.
