When I first visited Hiroshima, I had only a mundane idea of the city because of its historical background. So I decided to avoid conceptions of Hiroshima that were mired in the historical tragedies of the past, and instead to try to capture something of the current time and situation that we live in today. Things that still exist 63 years after the incident speak to us beautifully, and sadly. Hiroshima has regained its original vibrancy, and invites us to the future ahead.
