Chihiro Iwasaki
Chihiro Iwasaki (1918-1974) continued expressing deep affection toward children and venerableness of life in her beautiful lines and translucent colors. After over 30 years since her death, Iwasaki's work still captivates viewers.
From the collection of the Chihiro Museum, this exhibition showcases about 140 drawings, sketches, picture books, representative work from her later career, etc., exhaustively presenting the charm of her oeuvre. In addition, Iwasaki's atelier will be reproduced in the exhibition space, allowing viewers to feel closely about the days she lived as an artist.
Moreover, messages to the artist gathered from residents of the prefecture and other notable figures will be on view.
