"Droog Now" Exhibition
Ends Today
At Happa
Media: Furniture, Product
Droog Design is a renowned, standard-setting Dutch design team. While their creations are seemingly influenced by minimalism, all the works are based on original concepts that have been chewed over and analyzed. For them, design is not merely about creating a physical thing. It is a way of giving inspiration to the lives of those who experience their products and events.
This exhibition features Droog's unique pieces, on view for the first time to a Japanese public, as well as works showcased at the Milano Salone this year. Their designs reflect various phases of life, carrying strong messages that blend well into our daily life. Among the works on display are a piece that explores the possibilities of newly-invented materials, a simple product in which functionality is refined by an unexpected form, and an artistic work with inbuilt sarcasm.
