Kazuyuki Soeno
This series entitled "P.G.I. 10 Days Exhibition" showcases both up-and-coming and established photographers alongside their portfolio works, introducing unique creativity seen not only through themes but also methods of expressions and exhibiting styles.

In 1996, Kazuyuki Soeno was hit by a truck which was running a red light. A week after the accident, he woke up in an ICU of an emergency hospital. When he regained consciousness, first thing coming into his sight was light. During a month of stay in the ICU, Soeno experienced constant examination of his own body through daily X-ray check and endoscopic tests. Such a living experience in the hospital is reflected on his work.
This exhibition consists of 4 different series. In the series entitled "Photogram of Wings", Soeno set a wing of an insect he found on the street on photographic enlarger and then printed it on a developing paper. By giving light directly on the wing and fixating the image on the paper, he breathed new life into his subject. However, it is not a life in a true sense. According to Soeno, it is mere "fossil of light".
In "water" series, Soeno captures light through the medium of water.
On view in this exhibition are over 30 monochrome photographs from 4 series "Ezojika", "Photogram of Wings", "Photogram of Sake" and "Water".
