(Artist's statement)
The language of one group is controlled and affected by words of other languages, and affects and controls them in return.
Living in Japan has let me experience a certain linguistic and cultural barrier. It's as if I've just woken up from hibernation, and am now trying to communicate with others. In my 37 years of existence, this is the first time experiencing a communication breakthrough in that very instant when those language barriers are torn down.
