"Early Days of Japanese Advertising" Exhibition

The Ad Museum Tokyo
Finished
This is the second exhibition of the Showa advertising series featuring a period spanning a quarter of a century after World War II, from the heady days of reconstruction to the World Expo in Osaka in 1970. This period picked up from the ruins of war and defeat and ushered in the period of high economic growth that followed.
In those frenetic times, fresh and brilliant advertising campaigns were developed one after another. These accompanied the introduction of modern marketing, the launch of private broadcasting, the establishment of the modern advertising business, and so on.This exhibition presents the early days of Japanese advertising that accompanied the country's rapid economic growth, with displays of advertisements from those days mainly from the museum's own collection.
