This event has ended.

Architecture is comprised of hundreds and thousands of parts. Once it is built, through its relationship with people and the environment, it begins to hold function, purpose and meaning. However, most buildings are destined to be demolished as time goes by. This exhibition, through architectural fragments owned by Tsutomu Ichiki, a collector as well as a dentist, looks into the space, history and relationships that evolve around architecture that no longer exists. By sharing stories and memories attached to these fragments of architecture, this exhibition aims to provide an opportunity to think about preservation of historical buildings and traditional cityscapes. Some artifacts on display are made available to handle.
