"Four sacred beasts - the meanings behind their colors" Workshop
This event has ended.
At Meguro Museum of Art
Media: Art Talk
The four mythological sacred beasts (dragon, peacock, tiger and tortoise) from ancient China and Korea were often depicted in four different colors (blue, read, white and black). These beasts were brought over to Japan and are still highly regarded today. We will consider the meanings of these colors and make a large collage of the animals.
